Nari Narayanan heads Cybersecurity and is the CISO for Incyte since 2017. He developed his cybersecurity skills and experience earlier at Deloitte and Comcast. Prior to switching to full-time Cybersecurity role, Nari contributed to Pfizer / Wyeth in many leadership roles, including leading the Wyeth Australia and New Zealand IT as their CIO. Nari holds a MBA degree from Australia, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from IIT, Madras and several Cybersecurity and Privacy certifications

By implementing a comprehensive Zero-Trust program aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, we strengthened security across endpoints, networks, cloud/identity platforms, AI technologies and business applications. Our consistent top 10% performance in NIST CSF assessments and industry benchmarking demonstrated the maturity of our security program. We further enhanced effectiveness by leveraging AI and robotic process automation to streamline key SOC and GRC processes, improving productivity and accelerating response times. Despite increasing threat levels, we maintained security spending ratios below industry peers, and, successfully avoided major cybersecurity breaches while enabling business growth and innovation.

Kim Sassaman is Chief Information Security Officer for Universal Health Services, where he leads enterprise cybersecurity strategy for one of the nation's largest healthcare organizations. He is recognized for transforming cybersecurity into a strategic business capability that enables innovation, strengthens organizational resilience, and protects patient care. Kim also co-founded a national healthcare CISO collaborative that advances cyber resilience through trusted intelligence sharing and executive collaboration among many of the nation's largest healthcare organizations.

As Chief Information Security Officer for Universal Health Services, I transformed cybersecurity from a technical function into a strategic business capability that enables innovation, strengthens resilience, and protects patient care. Under my leadership, our team doubled our NIST Cybersecurity Framework maturity in two years, consolidated five security platforms into two while reducing annual operating expenses, improved threat detection by 75% and response times by 57%, reduced phishing click rates from 9% to 3%, and achieved four consecutive years with zero regulatory corrective action plans. Most importantly, we built the resilience to restore critical healthcare operations in hours rather than days.
